It was a sad day. Night vigils were held by the mega stores in Oxford St. People sleeping by the shop, desperate to get in there first thing in the morning to buy the first copies of Rat Attack. How London's transport service coped with the massive influx of Rat Attack hopefuls is a mystery. But all these people were left with the sad news that Rat Attack actually wasn't out after all. So many tears were shed that the Thames barrier was put on red alert. The police just about managed to deal with the almost inevitable breakout of mass hysteria. The government white paper that followed tried to explain away the disaster but when it came down to it all they wanted to know was "why?".

And that is an easy enough question to answer. As we approached the end of development we decided that working on the game for another couple months would allow us to really polish it and get in loads of new stuff. And that is exactly what we are doing. Various level specific features are being added to ensure that Rat Attack is, without a doubt, the most enjoyable single and multiplayer experience on PlayStation.

We've already added a demented Chihuahua, and it doesn't stop there. Livid lawnmowers, lasers and lava pits are just some of the obstacles to stop you from saving the world. The fiendish rats have even got some new friends with schemes so nefarious they rival even Washington and Jefferson, the masters of scheming. There will be more bosses, more baddies and even more types of rat death. And what of the multiplayer game? The multiplayer game remains untouchable- so we're not even going to touch it!

But more of all this next month when I will explain in more detail just what we are adding. See you then.
